It seems like just yesterday, I was in grade school hiding in my bedroom sneaking whoppers and pixi stix out of my secret candy stash! My obsession and addiction with refined sugary treats continued to be a regular part of my lifestyle well into my adult years… I never thought there was anything wrong with my excess sugar consumption.

Even though I am a registered nurse and have taught fitness classes for over 20 years, I am embarrassed to say that before starting CROP I had never given a thought about the quality of food I consumed having a direct impact on my moods, energy, workouts & health.

I finally realized the negative effects of refined sugar had on me once I started regularly consuming cold pressed, raw juice that included large amounts of spinach and kale. Not only did my sugar cravings subside, but I experienced boundless energy and a sense of well being like never before. After sharing my nutrient dense leafy green juice with my family and friends and seeing them have the same reaction, I knew I had to share it with Sarasota, a community I have called home since 1979.

My business partner Keith (who is also my fiancé) offered to do the build out, open the store and manage our initial team while I focused on creating unique, one of a kind recipes, and in the fall of 2013 CROP was born. I knew from the start that I wanted to offer premium, nutrient dense products not found anywhere else; CROP always has been and always will be 100% vegan and gluten free.

Even though our uniquely created, cold pressed premium juice will always be the heart and soul of CROP, many of our customers over the first couple of years repeatedly asked us if we were ever going to offer food on our menu. We have since added handcrafted smoothies, snacks and clean caffeine drinks; and in the spring of 2018 we introduced grab and go meals. In our continuous effort to make healthy eating a lifestyle, not a diet, we are constantly developing new & delicious recipes. 

We never dreamed our juice company could have such a dramatic, positive impact on the health and wellness of so many people when we first started. Being told by our customers and their families on a daily basis that their lives have been forever changed by products we work tirelessly to create is one of the most gratifying and humbling experiences you can imagine.
